Are You Free, or Not?

Court Rules In Favor of DEA, Reason.com

“According to the appeals court, the DEA followed its own rules–five in all–when it claimed that petitioners for rescheduling marijuana had failed to provide ‘adequate and well-controlled studies proving efficacy’.”  But the petitioners cited more than 200 peer-reviewed published studies demonstrating marijuana’s efficacy for various medical uses.

This is not about marijuana, and it’s definitely not about the medical uses of marijuana. It’s a larger issue, one that should concern everyone, whether you use marijuana or not — are you free to make decisions about your health for yourself, or are you too stupid and incapable of making these decisions?? We know what the government thinks of you.
